EliteXC fighter Gina Carano will be a guest of The Late, Late Show with Craig Ferguson on CBS, Monday night, September 29th. The show airs at 12:35am PST. Carano will be joined by actors from dramatic shows, CSI and CSI: NY. Previously scheduled stars from CSI: Miami, CSI: Bankok, and CSI: Bettendorf were bounced to make time for the MMA star…we’re kidding.
Carano (6-0) will be promoting her upcoming fight against Kelly Kobold (16-2-1), which takes place October 4th in Floridan and will be aired live on CBS. Kobold is currently on a two-fight losing streak but will still have the MMA experience advantage over Carano.
Carano recently spoke about her opponent after a public workout, “Kelly (Kobold) is well rounded and she is coming to fight. I’m glad I’m going to be tested.”
Some might say Carano’s biggest “tests” have been her seemingly constant promotional work, like her coming appearance on the “late, late show” as well as her stint as an “American Gladiator.” Undettered, Carano insists fighting is what she’s really about and that she can handle the media just fine.
“I’m a fighter. My job is to fight,” Carano said. “I’ve handled the press and won’t let it get to my head,” she continued.
